Masies d’Avinyó is the leading winery of the tiny D.O. Pla de Bages appellation, located in the geographical centre of Catalunya. Abadal range of products is consistent in terms of quality and pretty good on value for price. With this Cabernet-based wine, the winemaker wanted to express the terroir of a single terraced plot. So it is a single estate wine with a 12 months ageing in new oak barrels. The result is a powerful red, with ripen fruit and some balsamic and oaky hints. The fierce identity of a small territory.

Vintage tasted: 2007 (September 2012)
