The family owned and operated Celler Piñol was one of the first wineries of the Terra Alta D.O. in selling their wines abroad. Nowadays, the exporting market represents the 90% of their sales. It is a good example of the Terra Alta’s potential in terms of high quality wines. Definitely, a region to discover. Ludovicus is a red blend with a great value for price. Garnatxa is the main grape used in its coupage, complemented by minor parts of the local Cariñena and Tempranillo, as well as the international Syrah and Merlot. After a brief period of maturation in oak, it results in a complex and easy to drink wine at the same time.

Vintage tasted: 2010 (March 2013)
