Campo
Eliseo is the successful result of the association -in 2000- of François Lurton
y Michel Rolland, who combined their world-wide winemaking experience to
produce a premium wine in the unique DO Toro. It is made using just the
traditional variety Tinta de Toro, the name for Tempranillo in Toro, grown in
40 years old vineyards planted between 620 and 750 m high. Drought was the key
feature for 2005 vintage, which gave a lower amount of grapes but a better
quality. Well cellared, it can age perfectly for at least 10-12 years. Game and
other meat recipes are the ideal pairings for Campo Eliseo 2005.
