This wine takes its name from the grandfather of the brothers Jorge, Mar and Luis Peique, the owners and winemakers of Bodegas Peique. Ramón Valle planted and took care of the same Mencía vines that nowadays are used by the winery to produce the Peique wine range. The grapes reserved for this Ramón Valle 2009 are between 45 and 55 years old, and are planted at a height of 450 to 580 m around the village of Valtuille de Abajo. Briefly, a wine made to enjoy the flavours of Bierzo region.
