Produced from grapes grown in Rioja Alta subregion, this Lan Reserva combines a major part of Tempranillo with a minor parts of Mazuelo and Garnacha, which constitutes one of the traditional combinations of red Rioja blends (you could find Graciano as well). Then the wine is aged for one year in mixed American and French oak barrels, and has to remain at least two years more in bottle to be named Reserva. This process gives complexity to the wine and a characteristic silky texture. Ideal to pair with legume recipes, game dishes and mature cheese.

Vintage tasted: 2007 (September 2012)
