Sangre de Toro is one of the best-known Spanish wines. It was first produced by Miguel Torres at 1954 using a blend of the two main varieties in Catalunya: Garnacha and Cariñena. According to the winery, the name of the wine (it means Bull’s Blood) is inspired by the Roman god of wine, Baccus, formerly known as the Son of the Bull. Nowadays, people of all around the world can enjoy this easy-to-drink wine, which is suitable for almost every occasion. It matches perfect with all kind of meat, and even for meat paellas.
